Mission
The mission of A Masters Journey Foundation is to educate, motivate, and inspire people to use education as a tool to create more meaning and purpose, for their own and others’ lives.

This 501 will seek revenue streams and donations to fund individual’s efforts to achieve their academic goals.
Purpose
A Master’s Journey Foundation presents the stories of social work graduates from the US-Mexico borderlands. We hope that showcasing the stories of these professionals who overcame barriers such as socioeconomic factors, dual heritages, financial stress, homelessness, and mental or physical disabilities will motivate, inspire, and encourage others to pursue their own dreams of changing the world. Come join us. We’d like to share your story.
The Journey
Originally envisioned as a coffee table book that would showcase the life journies of social work graduates. This project quickly grew when five social workers took the reins of the project.
Considering the accessibility that technology and social media provide, it was decided to shift the project from a book to a podcast. Upon further discussion, social media presence needed to be established to reach a wider audience.
A common barrier noticed in the discussions of the project was the financial hardships to complete an undergraduate/graduate level education. It was at that point that the group realized the positive impact that scholarships have on students. Therefore, the group went ahead and established a 501(c)(3) and named it A Masters Journey Foundation.
